Being a breadwinner could be painful and enjoying at the same time. Painful in a way that sometimes, you have to deprive yourself from spending money and buy things for yourself because you need to think first of your family. They are your top priority. You are responsible for paying the bills, supporting them financially, saving your money for their future needs and forgetting all the personal stuffs and matters.

Dad suffered from stroke last 2001. Half of his body has been paralyzed. He got so much improvement because of the continuous medication and therapies.  Though because of his condition, he is unable to continue his work now and as a result, me as the eldest will take his part as my responsibility. Good thing dad has this social security disability pension every month that help them lot financially.

But of all these sacrifices, I never felt regrets and i never felt bad to them. Being a breadwinner gave me so much enjoyment too.Enjoyment in a way that i am happy if i see them happy. I felt so good every time they appreciate my deeds and how much they show they love me. With all that, all my sacrifices are being paid off. I love my family and i will always do my best to support them.

Finally, after a long wait, cousin Myrna and his boyfriend will be getting married this coming July. They informed us about this wedding plan last week as they invited us for a dinner. Well , i don’t exactly know the details of their wedding but i have heard that they are planning to have a simple church wedding and it will be held in our province in Ilocos. There are numerous old churches there in Ilocos so even though it’s a simple wedding it will definitely look so expensive.

Anyway, they told me that i will have a participation in the wedding and i have to prepare my self for that haha. Better start searching for diet pills that really work before they start measuring our waistline for our “Barong Tagalog.” Well i don’t wanna be caught with flabs and they should see me at my best haha. Myrna and his fiance is so busy right now preparing for their upcoming wedding. So excited about this. Woohoo.

I am residing in a “bungalow” type of house. It is just a one story high house, wide enough to accommodate us all. Maybe this is the reason  why i am so curious and fascinated seeing those high story buildings especially near the Makati area. I was just so amazed to see those steel buildings in different structures, forms and designs. In fact, i am dreaming that someday, i am going to work in a company located in a high story building to know what exactly the feeling is in working several feet from the ground. But in the reality, i can say that living in a Bungalow house is not bad after all especially if you have caring parents, loving brothers and sister, and a very cheerful dog waiting for you everyday after work. Oh what a beautiful life!

Today, i will buzz about the recently held wedding by a family friend of us Robert and Carmela. I found the couple very sweet and it seems that they really love each other. Anyway, the venue of the wedding is very spectacular. It is a church wedding, but the preparation seems very expensive. From the wedding dresses that both couple were wearing down to the very single details of the Reception venue.

The countdown has just begun as we only have 58 days left before the much awaited Christmas. I remember last year, we had a very nice Christmas because our relatives  from the province visited us to spend their Christmas Eve with us. I remember how much preparation we did last year. I think we started to display Christmas decors as early as September. Actually, we began decorating our Christmas tree last week and placed it near the living room. I wonder when will we be making Christmas Cards because i remember last year, it is me and my brother Milzon who decided to make and design our own Christmas cards and gave one for each member of our family including our beloved Auntie who is now temporarily residing with us. Milzon really loves making art projects and i am so amazed how creative he is. We’re actually planning to do some Christmas-related projects this weekend. I will share some photos here  soon.

Today, is a very special day because my youngest brother Milzon is celebrating his 7th birthday. Actually, we are more excited than him, the day before his birthday. The celebration is not a big as what we had last year. It was held in our house and we invited few guests only. I bought him a cake and placed a toy on the top.

We really had so much fun. So as my brother and we promised him that we will make it more special next year if he will promised to us that he will do his best in his school and earn high grades as well

It’s been a tough week for me and my family after losing my beloved Grandma. We are all stress out and feel so much depressed. A close friend of ours advised us to go out of town to ease the pain and forget what happened to my Grandma. I’ve been a Grandma’s boy ever since and I grew up with her, that is why it is really hard for me to accept everything. She was staying in our house that is why it is pretty hard for me to forget the pain. This makes me realized that my friend is right. I have to move on and forget everything. I think it would be great if we go somewhere else, far from home. I’m sure this will makes me feel a bit better. It would also be great if we will have an exciting Branson vacation and enjoy the wonderful ambiance that it offers. I have to look forward to the better side and think that my grandma is now happy on where she is right now.

My younger sister, Mirasol, will be celebrating her birthday this coming May and I am very excited to it. Mom will take care of the foods, my brother Melvin will take care of the venue and I is responsible for the expenses. Is it so unfair (LOL) Anyway, I am also thinking of anything that I could give to my sister. She’s not a kid anymore so I think giving her a toy is very inappropriate now for her age. I want my gift to be something special since I failed to give one on her last year. I’ve been searching the web the whole day to find a perfect gift for my sis and I am very lucky to found an online shop that sells  Joe’s jeans. Here I grab a photo from that site.

My sis love to wear jeans especially those faded color jeans. I am so sure that my sister will jump out from her chair as soon as she see what’s inside my gift. I am so excited to see her reaction. Anyway, my decision is final, I will buy a jeans like this and give it to my sis on her birthday.

My Maternal grandmother was diagnosed to have a Liver Cancer. She is suffering from severe pain. Aside from her cancer, her Glaucoma, an eye disease, caused her to become totally blind. I felt so much pity for her but I know God has a reason for everything. According to her doctor, this condition is actually curable through series of operation and theraphy. However, because of her age, the doctor told us that it will be very risky for her to undergo series of operation.

Until now, my grandma is hoping for her sooner recovery which is good for her. But then, this is a Liver Cancer and we all know that Liver is the one that transmit Blood all through out our body and according to her doctor, we must expect that her condition will become worst especially if the cancer cells are being scattered all through out her body which may affect some of her organs like her lungs, heart, brain, muscle and bone.

I wish i can help her but all i can offer are my prayers. I grew up with her and i’m really close to her that’s why i am very affected by her coindition. She’s 75 years old now but for me, it’s too early for her to leave us. I want her to see me wearing my toga and i want her to see me as a succesful man.

This is so hard for me and i can’t do nothing about it. I love her so much and i don’t know how to accept everything.  Prayers! this is my only tool and i know how powerful it is. I know everything will be fine and my grandma will soon find her recovery. Please pray for my grandma’s recovery too!
