Does it also reminds you of your childhood days? The photo (left) was taken last month when my brother Milzon had his first Boy Scout Summer trip. This horse racing event for kids are just one of their fun activities held in a Sport Complex in Tagaytay. I remember, my cousin and I used to play Horse sticks too but i never had a chance to attend an event like this. I am not an active Boy Scout during my elementary years. Same thing with High school though we are required to attend our CAT training because it will reflect to our report card. I became a class marcher when I was in college which is, by far, my highest achievement in this kind of field hehe. Anyway, mom and Milzon had so much fun but unfortunately, the weather was not so cooperating that time and they had to postponed the rest of their activities.
As you can see (right photo), it started to drizzle so they cannot pursue the event up to the end. They failed to have camp fire too and also the real horse back riding for parents and teachers. There is a horse back riding field near the venue and is not part of the event but the parents can try it while kids are too busy with their camping. After all, parents are not allowed to the camping field and they have separate venue as well. I’m not really sure if they have to bring their own horse equipment or they just have to rent it there. Milzon was not so satisfied with the trip that’s why i promised him that we will hit Tagaytay again if he gets high grades and if the time will allow us. It must be a fun and exciting experience indeed.

This is a continuation of my post about Milzon’s Tagaytay trip in relation with the recently held Boy Scout gathering event. The event was held in Tagaytay Sport Complex and all Scouts from different schools were gathered here.

Everyone is preparing for the first activity.

The first activity is more like a drill where in kids should surpass series of obstacles. There are four stations here and the first one is the garter loops.

The second station is the stiff Bamboo bridge. They just have to pass the bridge and go straight forward to the next station. Of course, in order to pass the bridge they have to balance themselves because if they fell, they have to go back to start. Sorry for the video, my mom can’t shoot the video properly because because of the huge crowd.

The third station is the Mini Cave. Kids have to enter the cave one by one. They have to rush themselves because they have to finish all the stations within the given amount of time.

You can see 2 pairs of dice in the last station. Kids have to pick a pair and throw themand throw a pair. They have to get the right pair (color coded). If they got the Jackpot word, they will be awarded with a badge.

After few minutes of break, here comes another activity. It’s an Agaw-Bitin and kids are so excited to get a prize. Each plastic were filled with candies and mini toys. Milzon was able to get one yay!

Our mighty Kabscouts are taking their break. They are preparing for another exciting activity! The Horse Race!

Kids were gathered again for a racing event. Each kids were given a Horse Stick toy and they have to run from one end to another.

They are about to do another set of activities however, the weather seems to be not so cooperative because it started to drizzle and the event organizer had to postponed the rest of the activities. After few minutes of waiting, the rain started to flow and the school head decided to end their Boy Scout trip. They were advised to pack their things.

Some schools did the same thing so unfortunately, they had to cut their Boy Scout Event and the KABSayahan was over. It is supposed to be an overnight event and a they are supposed to have a camp fire but because of the Rain, they had to cut down everything though Milzon had so much fun and he wishes to visit Tagaytay again.

A week after this event, Milzon had to attend another Boy Scout related School activity. It’s their Oath Taking Ceremony! I will post about this event in my next entry. Thank you guys for droppong by.

Last September 5, Milzon and my Mom went to Tagaytay top attend the much awaited Boy Scout Event. This is Milzon’s very first time to visit Tagaytay and his very excited about it. As you all know, Milzon is not really comfortable with long distance travel. (You can recall my dizzy travel post  about him here). Anyway, it is very surprising that he manage to travel that far without VOMITING! haha.

Marco and John Carlo (Milzon’s classmates) playing with my camera. I told my mom to bring my camera so that he can capture all the activities on the said event. However, she’s not really familiar in using my cellphone or my camera that’s why we came up with not so good photos LOL.

The Event was held in Tagaytay Sport Complex. Students from different schools from different regions were gathered here for the Boy Scout Event.

Kids from Grade 1 to 3 are not classified as Boy Scouts yet. They are considered as “KabScout” or “Kabataang Scout”. The event was about to start and the kiddie scouts were asked to fall in line.

It is pretty depressing that i always have to postponed our plans because it keeps on raining heavily these passed few weeks. We are actually planning to hit the so called “Pico De Loro” Mountain located at Maragondon Cavite. Maragondon is one of the oldest province in Cavite and most of the province is thickly forested. Pico De Loro mountain is one of the province major attractions. The place is very historical and this is the place where Andres Bonifacio died. No wonder why the place is such a big hit especially for the tourist and researchers who want to explore the history  and the story behind the so called Andres Bonifacio assassination.

We really want to visit this place and I will definitely ask my cousin to bring his motorcycle to avoid any traffic and to reach our destination much faster. I will suggest that he install a motorcycle console to tract our location. I am not familiar with the place either so it is much better that we have a locator to avoid ourselves fro getting lost. Haha.

Anyway, i am hoping for a good weather next week so that we can make our plan possible. Wish us luck! Will share some photos after we get there.

The Holy Week is just around the corner and I know most of you are planning to grab this opportunity to visit your relatives on your province. This is exactly what we are going to do. It’s been a tradition to us to visit the province every Holy Week, not just to visit our relatives but also to do our what so-called “Visita Iglesia”. It is a where we visit seven different churches to pray. We will pray the rosary and finish stating the 14 Station of the Cross.

We are planning to visit Pangasinan this coming this coming weekend but before anything else, i think i should get Payday Advance loan now since i am about to spend some money for our transportation expenses and also to buy some goods for our relatives in Pangasinan. In a rush situation like this, i better seek for a company that offer No Faxing Payday Loans so that i can get the money without undergoing such a long process of approval. I need to have this application as early as of today knowing that most companies are closed during the Holy Week.

Every Summer, we used to visit our grandparents in our province in Alaminos Pangasinan. We used to visit them every year and spend our whole week vacation there with my parents. I am actually excited this year because our cousin Ichan will be joining us. This will be his first time to visit the province if ever and we’re all excited to tour him in the place. Alaminos is known for the “Hundred Islands” and it’s funny because I’ve never been there.

The place is a perfect summer destination and is one of the Philippines best tourist spot. And since Cousin Ichan will be with us this summer, i guess it is the right time for me to visit this place. I have heard that there are so many rare breeds of birds coming in this area during this season so i better pack my self with a rifle scope to view them much clearly. Also, i will sure bring my camera with me to take some shots. What a great opportunity to show my passion in photography! Hahaha just kidding, not really a good photographer but i’m trying!

How come i never visited this place during my stay in Alaminos? Sobs!

You can say that it is a great driving experience when your engine performs well while you are driving. Aside from the engine, brakes also play a very important role. I remember one of the lectures i had while taking a short Automotive training course, they said that you have to check the brake pedal regularly. You have to check if it is working fine before you drive. If the brake pedal can be pushed with ease or if you heard some squealing or grinding noise every time you apply brakes, well, it is a sing that you have to bring your car on a nearest auto repair shop to fix this kind of brake problems. Ignoring such issue can lead you to a very serious safety problems that’s why you have to take your car on a well trusted shop like the auto repair spokane has. Brake system is said to be one of the most important system in your car so in order to have a great and safe driving experience, never ignore such issue and let it be fixed as early as possible to prevent any worst case scenario.

Sorry for not updating this site lately, I’ve been very busy with my work and with the recently held “Out of town team building” organized by our company. Yes! it is team building and we are going out of town which only means that we will be out from the office for a day. The outing was compulsory and everybody must attend it so i have no choice. Even though i don’t like going out in such far places and even though i hate to travel, i have no choice but to follow the rules.

Anyway, i grab the opportunity to enjoy my one day vacation despite the fact that i know that there are tons of workloads pending on my office. To make this story short, we went to Alaminos City Pangasinan to visit the wonderful “Hundred Islands”

The islands (124 at low tide and 123 at high tide) are scattered along Lingayen Gulf and cover an area of 18.44 square kilometres (4,557 acres). They are believed to be about two million years old. Only three of them have been developed for tourists: Governor Island, Quezon Island, and Children’s Island. The islands are actually ancient corals that extend well inland, in an area previously comprising the seabed of an ancient sea. Lowering sea levels have exposed them to the surface and the peculiar “mushroom”-like shapes of some of the islands have been caused by the eroding action of the ocean waves. Remember what i discussed about effective Cycling. Now here’s another post about biking. Today, i will be sharing 10 safety tip for biking.

☺Be sure the bike’s seat is st the right height and securely fastened.
☺The bell or warning signal is to be used only to tell others of your approach.
☺It  is not advisable to carry a passenger on the back of your bicycle. This overloads your bike; it is not well balanced and it may trip over easily.
☺It is courteous not to drive too fast. Riding at a brisk speed, a rider may knock down or bump into a commuter or bystander.
☺It is safe to keep to the right and to turn at corners slowly.
☺Respect the rights of pedestrians, especially if biking on sidewalk is permitted.
☺Always give pedestrians the right of way .
☺It is not good and safe to hook your bicycle onto another bicycle or any vehicle in motion.
☺Obey traffic lights, traffice signs and road markings.
☺Provide a good refelctor behind your bicycle so it can be seen well at night

Will P500 will make you feel Rich?

Well some might say it is very impossible because these days, if you go to a mall, your P500 will just cover a fast food lunch and maybe a T-shirt (if it’s on sale). If you got a date and you only have 500 in your wallet, then forget about it.

That is why i do not go to mall if i only have 500 to spend. What i do is i head for Marikina. Why? Two reasons.

One, when it’s not chest-deep in flood waters, Marikina is quite the charming place, blending a quaint, small town atmosphere with patches of modern, urban lifestyle.

Two, It also allows me to travel by bicycle, which immediately cuts my expenses at least a hundred bucks, that would other wise have gone to gas.

Marikina Presents itself as a “bike-friendly” city because of the network of bike lanes that run through its main thoroughfares . I am not really sold on the idea of bike lanes, however because bike lanes per se don’t make you any safer. When biking on one, it is too easy to be lulled  into a false sense of security, until someone opens a car door in your face or some jeepney brakes suddenly in front of you to let a passenger on or off.

Bike lanes are just another way of marginalizing bike riders. At best, they give you a legal leg to stand on if, God forbid, something does happen to you while riding one. Better learn how to safely navigate traffic on  a bike.
