It has this therapeutic effect that keep all my stress away. Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to your health. Is it ironic that we usually hear or see this health advice mostly from the cigarette manufacturers? Because if they’re telling us that Cigarette smoking is dangerous, why are they selling cigarettes on the first place? Well, maybe the “dangerous” thing that they are referring here is the abusive smoking of cigarettes. We all know that cigarette contains an addictive chemical known as “nicotine”. It is said that Nicotine is a stimulant which raises blood pressure and is dangerous for both lungs and heart. Though i have read some articles stating that it has therapeutic benefits too. Anyway, this chemical is present on both Tobacco and manufactured cigarettes.

It’s true that there are people who simply can’t resist to smoke. Just like my dad, it’s like a daily habit already. I think my dad consumes 3 to 4 packets of cigarette every day. He sometimes smoke tobacco specifically the “black and milds cigars by Middleton” but most of time, he used manufactured cigarettes because they are more affordable. I am not a teenager anymore and i am so happy that i am done dealing with those unwanted pimples and acne. I used to have an oily skin when i was in High school and as a result, i used to get a lot of pimples all over my face. Thanks God those days were over however, there are some scars left on my cheeks and i really hate them a lot. I used to hide them using face powder but i just can’t apply them everyday and besides it is not so appropriate for a man like me.

I have tried a lot of products to make them at least less visible but non of them worked effectively for me. While we’re cleaning the upstairs, we found a 1974 September Issue of a Reader’s Digest magazine inside my mom’s closet. Well mom used to store old magazines and this is probably one of her oldest issues.

I saw Merle Haggard on the cover and since i am big fan of old country music, i grabbed this copy and read the column about him. Merle Haggard is the one who popularized songs like “Mama Tried” and “America First” which are two of my most favorite country songs. He’s still active in the music scene and he collaborated with so many country artists including Willie nelson and Roger Miller. I just don’t know if he had a duet with my all time favorite Dolly Parton but i wish they had. (better search it on Youtube haha).

Anyway, aside from the the 7 pages column about Merle Haggard, I also found some cool topics on the Magazine. It’s funny but I saw some old advertisement there showcasing an old style phone and a classic tv.

Look at the old tv! It was the newest model at that time. I just can’t imagine how much it improves today. Right now, we’re all enjoying a great watching experience through LCD TV or flat screen tv. The higher the model, the higher the resolution you’ll get right? I wonder how much that old tv cost huh. I will buzz more about the funny advertisement i saw at the magazine soon. Starting today, i think i will become more busy with my school especially now that our Professor assigned each of us to submit a Thesis. This will be our last project for this school year and he want us to exert all our effort to produce a well written and worth reading thesis.

I remember last year, i took almost a month in preparing for my thesis. I themed up with the issue about Drug addiction. Drug addiction is like an undying issue. It is expected to see this issue from one headline on the newspaper to another from time to time. I am sure the government is doing something to stop it though most of them are not working very effectively.

I also held a survey last year and ask 100 people in support of my thesis. Most of the them believed that changes will start within our homes. Rehab centers play a very important role in controlling the growth of drug addiction in the country. Usually, we wired drug addiction to drugs like shabu and marijuana but actually drug addiction has many forms. Some can be addicted to pain reliever drugs, Diluadid, Demerol, Dexedrine and more. Diliuadid is a kind of pain reliever and can be treated through specialized Diluadid Drug Treatment offered by some rehab centers. There are also available Dexedrine Drug Treatment and Demerol Drug Treatment in some rehab centers. I just don’t know if we have these treatments here in the country. You can find them all mostly in America.

Anyway, i guess i will be reprising this topic again for my thesis this year but in a much comprehensive way.

We just bought this new dvd last month and it seems that Milzon is really enjoying this new gadget. Well, the DVD comes up with a gaming CD and we bought it with free gaming controllers. Oh and the flat TV is brand new too! We bought them in such a very low price. It is a promo deal so we grabbed the opportunity to get the item at its highly discounted price. Actually, i was planning to buy a home theater system with dvd at that time but i realized that the space in our living room is not yet enough to accommodate such gadgets. Maybe next time after we replace those bulky wooden furniture in our living room. But for the meantime, i will just let Milzon enjoy this new gadgets of ours.

Finally, i was able to send all the remaining packages for my blog idol contest. The contest was held online last May and it ran for 2 consecutive months. The Blog Idol winner got $35, $15 for the first runner up; $10 for the third which were all given in time. Top 4 to Top 11 will get a Capiz Box as a special price for joining my game. However, i got some issue with one of my sponsor who sent the money too late and i also got some trouble with the packaging. The item is made out of Capiz and Capiz is quite sensitive as it breaks easily. Finally, all the issue was solved and i was able to send them all to my Blog Idol Season 3 contestants. Anyway, my blog idol site will be temporarily inactive and will go live again as the 4th season starts. I just wish that the fourth season will be as successful but not as controversial as the third season. Will give you updates about this soon!
