Adam Sandler never fail to amaze me with his films. Like all his other movies, you might find it quite non-sense at the beginning of the story but if i am going to compare “Click” to “Jack & Jill” , i don’t think it will meet someone’s expectation because the film is quite predictable though it’s still great and worth watching for. Jack & Jill focuses on the story between the Identical twins and their quite complicated relationship. Jack was quite annoyed with his Sister Jill (both played by Sandler) because of her passive-aggressiveness and clumsiness. Jill decided to stay with Jack’s family to celebrate Christmas with them. Jack is working in an advertising company and his work is at risk because one of their major clients is about to pull out their account not unless they will be able to convince Al Pacino to endorse their new product. Yeah! you heard that right! the Godfather is here and it is really quite unusual to see him cracking some jokes and punchlines here. Anyway, Al Pacino, surprisingly fell in love with Jill. This feeling suddenly became an obsession and Jack took advantage of this in order to convince the actor to endorse the Dunkin Donut’s new product , the “Dunkacino”. Jill was quite hopeless to see the right guy who will love her the way she is. I don’t want to spoil the entire story guys so you better watch it on your own risk hahaha. What will happen to Jill and Al Pacino? What will happen to Jack, will he be able to convince Al Pacino to endorse the product? Oh well, you just have to find it out. If you are an Adam Sandler fan, then you might not include this film as one of his bests because, to be prank, it is considered as one of the worst films of 2011 but still very ideal to watch. I am so happy to see my all time favorite “Gumby” as Google Doodles the person behind this iconic Stop Motion Clay Star, Art Clokey to pay tribute for his 90th Birthday. Wow, It’s been more than a decade since I last saw Gumby and friends. I grew up watching the show. Well, it was originally aired in the 50′s but Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network re-run most of the Gumby episodes that’s why I am, somehow, familiar with the show.

The doodles feature five clay balls and each of them will reveal a character from Gumby. The red ball beside the “G” toy block features the Blockheads; the yellow ball reveals Prickle; Goo is for the blue ball; Gumby for green and Pokey for the last red ball. Other notable characters that are not featured in the doodle include Minga, Gumba, Gumbo and More.

To pay tribute for Art Clokey, I made my own Gumby clay haha. It’s pretty bad I know but I hope you like it guys hehe. After seeing Gumby, I started to search some of its early episodes on YouTube. Milzon is really not familiar with Gumby so I have to introduce the character by showing him some episodes through YouTube. I might consider installing a you tube video downloader program on my PC and compile all Gumby episodes on my computer so Milzon can watch it over and over again.

Finally, we was able to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 last week. Milzon had so much fun and we really enjoyed watching the film. Well, comparing the film from the first installment, i can say that it is not as great as the first one but still worth watching. Jack Black once again made me laugh and he really did a great job voicing and acting over the character of Panda Po. The film is known for throwing those notable one liners dialogs. There are only few inspiring lines thrown in this film! Some of them are the following : “Your story may not have such a happy beginning but that doesn’t make you who you are, it is the rest of your story, who you choose to be” from the Soothsayer.
“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift. That is why it is called ‘Present’” from Master Shifu.

They got some funny notable lines too like, “I’m not freaking out. I’m freaking in!” and “Ah, my old enemy. Stairs!” both said by Po.  The graphics and the fight scenes are way better than the first one. The film offered some revelations too, answering those hanging questions from the first film. It also paves way to the possible third installment. Don’t worry , i will not spoil the film by this post. Better watch the film on your own risk while still showing on theaters.

We only have few weeks left before the much awaited American Idol Season 2 Finale. Wow, time really run out so fast and it seems that it was just yesterday when the 10th season started to find talented individuals from different states in the US. For me, this is the best season compared to the four previous ones. All the finalist are very talented and the results of each elimination round are very unpredictable. Who would have thought that Pia Toscano will be eliminated that day? Who would have thought that Haley Reinhart will go this far?

Jacob Lusk was eliminated last week leaving James Durbin, Haley Reinhart, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina on the Top 4 spots. Next week, the remaining finalists will sing songs from Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller collection. I am not really familiar with these two after I checked their profile on their internet. I found out that Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller are one of the most respected song writers on the industry. Some of their popular compostitions include Ben king’s “Stand By Me”, “Ruby Baby” by the Drifters and Elvis Presley’s “Jailhouse Rock”.

I just can’t see any reason why the Hell Lady Gaga will mentor the remaining idols? Is this a sense of promoting her album or what? Yeah, Lady Gaga is such a hit maker but vocally speaking, for me, she have no guts to become a mentor. In fact, it is much better if the Top 4 will teach Gaga how to sing well. Lol.

We were just cleaning the stock room yesterday when we found some cool stuffs inside. We found some old issue of magazines and some old tapes too. Here i grab some photos

Here we found some old cassette tapes. Too bad we do not have Cassette tape player to play these tapes. We got an original Tracy Chapman Tape and a bck to back copy of Engelbert Humperdick and Frank Sinatra Singles which also comes up with a small booklet containing the lyrics of their songs.

And here are some VHS tapes. (I wonder if there’s still people who’s playing VHS tapes nowadays). Well, in fairness with the tapes, they are pretty cool movies. We got Titanic, Dead Again, Philadelpia, Execution of Justice, Willow and more!

This entry is the continuation of my Movie Marathon Part 1 post. Just like what i have said, my cousin Ichan and I had a movie marathon together and we have watched a total of three films. That’s two Disney Films and an action-comedy Asian film. Okay, tease me now! I know that watching Disney animated movies are kinda inappropriate for my age and So??? I really don’t care LOL. I love watching animated films because they make me feel like a child again.

2. Enchanted- Anyway, i have shared the first movie in my last post which is Bolt, a 2008 Disney Animated film. And now, let me share you the second film we watched on Ichan’s laptop. We watched “Enchanted.” It’s a 2007 Disney film starring Amy Adams as Giselle, James Paul Marsden as Prince Edward and Patrick Dampsey as Robert. I failed to watch this film on theater and i can’t find any of the released Dvd that’s why i insisted Ichan to watch the film. Enchanted is such a great film which gave a brand new twist to the ordinary animation  early produced by Disney. Unlike other fairytales, the story here involves the real world. It was Giselle who was sent in the real world by the wicked witch. Giselle was found by Robert Philips and sent her to his house. Prince Edward followed her princess on the real world. Then the wicked witch sent the henchman Nathaniel to stop and prevent the 2 couple finding each other. Nathaniel was commanded by the Queen to poison Giselle through the poisoned apple. Meanwhile, Giselle accidentally fell in love with Robert while she’s in the middle of the search for his Edward. Edward soon found Giselle. Both of them are planning to go back to Anastasia but before that Giselle ask Edward to date her and attend the ball. Giselle and Edward attended the ball so as Robert and his fiance Nancy. Because of Nathaniel’s failures, The Queen herself went to the real world to kill Giselle. She was able to convince Giselle to take a bite on the poisoned apple and killed her. It was revealed that the only thing that can save Giselle is through the true love kiss. Edward kissed Giselle but didn’t worked out. Robert then kissed the princess which save Giselle’s life. Because of her frustration, The queen transformed herself into a dragon and took Robert with her. Giselle decided to slay the dragon all by her self. They were able to kill the Dragon. The ending of the film is quite surprising too. Giselle decided to stay with Robert while Prince Edward went back to Anastasia with Nancy.

My cousin and i have watched 3 movies today. Yup! we had a movie marathon together. Well, he just got this old laptop from his dad yesterday and we found a lot of movie files inside his hard disk. The movies are great. Some are old while some are current. So we grab that opportunity to watch movie together. Believe it or not, we have watched two Disney animated movies and  a comedy-action Asian film. Here are the movies we have watched today.

1. Bolt. Bolt is a movie about a k9 dog named  Bolt. He is a celebrity dog and has his own television show with hr partner Penny. Without the knowledge of everyone, Bolt thought that his superpowers are for real. There was this scene from his television program where his partner Penny has been kidnapped. Bolt thought that the kidnapping was real and so he managed to escape from his house cage and try to find Penny. Along his way, he met some new friends including a street cat named Mittens who later revealed to him that everything is just his imagination and he has no super powers and he i no different to other dogs. He also met a hamster who was also a big fan of the Bolt show and also thought that Bolt i for real. Bolt late realized that Mittens was right. He soon find his way to Penny. There had a big fire accident and Penny was trapped inside the building. Bolt came to rescue Penny. After that Penny’s mother decided to quit Penny from the show and Penny and Bolt live a normal life together with their brand new friends Mittens and Rhino. I just love this show. Yes it’s funny but it has a lot of moral lessons too. There is nothing impossible as long as you are determined to achieved your goal. Keep your faith stronger and you’ll be blessed in the end. Friendship is something that you have to be treasured for the rest of your life.

Okay, tell me that i am childish or my age is not appropriate to watch such an animated film but no one can stop me from watching Toy Story 3. I am an avid fan of this animated film knowing that it is the first animated film ever produced. And now that they are on the big screen again for their final installment, i never waste any of my time and watch this once in a lifetime event. To make this post short, i am gonna tell you that i really had so much fun in watching Toy Story 3. The film is full of action and drama and of course a moral lesson to everyone. I don’t want to become a spoiler here so i will just give you a sneak peak on what to expect to this film. Our lovely fellow Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Cowgirl, Mr and Mrs Potato, and the rest of the gang will still be in the film. The story is all about Andy who will be turning in to collage and have to decide whether his toys will stay or will be donated. The toys were sent to a daycare and the adventures take place when the gang try to escape “lotso Bear” and to go back to Andi’s house. You’ll gonna love this film 100%

I’m getting so excited for this year’s upcoming movies. It seems that we got all the much awaited movie installments for this year. I don’t know but based on my observation, almost all the movies of the 20th century are remakes of the classic films from the 70′s and 80′s film just like the Clash of the Titans which is an original 1981 fantasy film about the adventure of Perseus. ilming was scheduled to begin in late April 2009, and the film is set to be released on March 26, 2010. Another movie remake is the comedy horror film entitled “Piranha 3D“. It is originally based on the 1978 film with the same title. The film is all about about the swarm of killer piranhas. Another interesting movie would be “The Expandables” which is an action adventure film with a star-studded cast. It includes action film veterans like Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke and a whole lot more.

We got great movie installments for this year like the much awaited Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 which would be the second to last installment of this immortalized  novel adaptation. Tony Stark is back with Iron Man 2. Another much awaited film installment would be  The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. There will be another installment of ” The Chronicles of Narnia” entitled The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Freddie Krueger is back on the screen as A Nightmare On Elm Street is set for another horrifying adventure this year.

2010 is generally for kids. Shrek is set for another movie installment in which i thought would be the last. The famous Lewis Carol’s creation “Alice In Wonderland” is an interesting film to watch too! Another film based on a children’s book would be “Robin Hood“. Unexpected but true, The film that started it all, The first ever 3D animeted film is set for a come back for its 3rd installment, it’s no other than the “Toy Story“

Amazing, i just can’t wait to watch all this films!
