I’ve been a health conscious ever since and I always make sure that I go to gym at least every other day to keep my self fit. I am not into sports and going to gym is my only way to burn off those extra calories I gained. But sometimes it is very irritating to see that after a long hard work, it seems that there are no improvements at all. The last option I have is to take diet pills to help me to get in shape much faster than regular exercising. But of course, even though I am taking diet pills, I should not stop exercising. I’ve been hearing lately about this “adipex”, an appetite suppressant and I wonder how effective this apidex is. Maybe I should give it a try and see how effective it works. I just checked a site about this diet pill and saw a lot of positive feedbacks and I think it is enough to prove that this “apidex” is really working. Finally, I have a solution for this weight loss problem of mine.

I gained some weight this summer and now, i to work out really hard to cut off all the calories i gained. We all know how hard it is to lose weight. Even though you go to gym almost everyday, it is not enough if you do not know how to discipline your self. If you are someone like me who cannot resist the temptations of eating fatty foods such as pork, egg, and more dishes, i guess it is time for you to change. Change your eating habit and balance your diet. I cooked my all time favorite “Pinakbet” yesterday to filled up my hungry stomach. “Pinakbet” is a popular Filipino dish. It is a native Ilocano dish in specific. There’s nothing really hard and special in cooking this kind of dish knowing that it’s just a mixture of stir fried vegetables. I definitely love this dish not just because I am an Ilocano but also because of being so nutritious and healthy. Now, I am having so much trouble. My nephews will be here tomorrow to spend their summer vacation with us. They’ve been here last year and I must say they broke my world into pieces. Taking care of them means putting your self to death. Well, aside from being so naughty and noisy, they are fond of messing around the house. Of course, no one will clean their mess but me! But of all these mess and naughtiness of my nephews, I still love them and it is fun to be with them.
I am done cleaning their room already and there’s still one more thing to worry about ~ I don’t know what to cook for them tomorrow! Well, I wish I can serve “Pinakbet” for them but as you know, kids hate veggies so I have to think of any type of dish that they will surely love. Fried dishes will be quite boring so as soups. Good thing, I search some Quick healthy recipes online and I found a bunch of recipes at www.ivillage.com/food.
For sure they will love this great looking and great tasting “Chicken Lettuce Wraps.” It has lower calories, less fat and hearty dose protein. Well, I think I will be jumping out from my chair too just to have this one.
For dinner, it is perfect to try this light dish. They are Potato cakes. Just topped it with butter and presto! You got a great tasting and healthy dinner.
Well, I guess I have nothing to worry about my nephews anymore because these yummy dishes will sure to lessen my nephews’ noisiness as they will keep them selves busy in eating. That’s all for today! Happy blogging!

Chicken is the most common type of poultry in t
he world and one of the most affordable meat that you can find in any market. Chicken can be used primarily as food and can be cooked in many different ways.
Did you know that raw chicken can be frozen for up to two years without significant changes in their flavor or texture?
Chicken can be cooked in innumerable ways; it can be made into sausages, put in salads, grilled, breaded and deep-fried, or used in various curries.
I usually prepare an oven roasted chicken for my guest. This is how i prepare my roasted chicken. First i rinse the chicken well, then i will rub the inner part or the inside cavity of the chicken with salt. I will do the same procedure on the outer chicken part but this time i add grained pepper and peeled garlic gloves. After that, i will add the stuff inside the cavity of the chicken. I usually used potatoes, rosemary and lemons as my stuffing

To make your chicken more presentable, tie your chicken with kitchen strings. Before placing your chciken into your pan, try these steps first.
Melt the butter in the pan, and add the olive oil, and heat. Place your chiken in the pan and put it inside your oven
Make sure that you preheat oven to 475 degrees F. then roast it for 15 minutes. Turn the chicken to the other side and roast another 15 minutes. Lower the heat to 400°F, turn the chicken breast side up, and continue roasting for 25-30 minutes, basting with the pan juices every 5 minutes.
If you’ve stuffed the chicken, remove the stuffing from the cavity and place in a serving dish.
Yummy!
Managing a Poultry business is not an easy task! This is what I’ve learned after we visited my Uncle’s farm in our province in Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte. I really had so much fun playing with my neice and nephews, so as my cousins.
The Province of Ilocos Norte specializes in some agricultural products like rice, corn, garlic, root crops, legumes, tobacco and other fruits and vegetables. The province is also known for their Tilapia Industries. My Uncle is currently raising poultry like chickens, ducks and other livestocks like cow, sheep and pigs.
Among all these poultry animals, raising chickens is the most interesting. Most farmers keep chickens primarily as source of food, consuming both meat and eggs.

I’ve learned that not all chickens are laying eggs. Chickens that are farmed for eggs are called “hens” while chickens farmed for meats are called “broiler chickens”. Sad to say, the life span of these poor broiler chickens typically take less than six weeks after thay have reached their slaughter size. Luckily, egg laying hens will naturally live for more than 6 years!( Thanks God)
Moving forward, chicken eggs are incubated until they hatch after 21 days. My uncle is using an improvise incubator, placing incandescent bulbs inside the cage.
Nearly all parts of the chicken can be used for food and the meat can be cooked in many different ways. I love chicken dishes like “Chicken Adobo” (a popular filipino dish), chicken curry, grilled chicken and more!
These chicken dishes are perfect to match up with some Ilocos yummy delicacies like chichacorn and Bibingka (rice cakes).

Calcium is very important for everyone, especially women and children. But for a lactose intolerant like me, i have difficulty in digesting dairy. that is why i’m very thankful that there are dairy products which are 100% lactose-free. by drinking a lactose-free milk, i get the calcium that i need without the discomfort of milk products. Most Lactose-free milk are still rich in calcium and vitamin D with protein, vitamin A and other nutrients. It’s wholesome and delicoious for the whole family.
I used this lactose-free milk in my recipe and all my favorite foods such as fluffy banana pancakes served with maple syrup, caramelized bananas, butter and pecans. Yummy and tempting!
Vegetables are very healthy and pretty much advisable to eat than poultry meats. They are rich in vitamins and nutrients. I prefer to buy vegetables that are sold in a department store or malls than buying them in a market.
I am assured that they are clean and free from dirt and insects. I love veggies!
